New resort and convention center for Las Vegas
A Las Vegas company, Boyd Gaming Corp. has recently announced it will develop a multi-use resort complex, including a 650,000 sq. ft. convention center on the Las Vegas Strip where the Stardust Hotel & Casino now stands.
The 63-acre development will cost $4 billion and be called Echelon Place. It is scheduled to open in 2010, and will include casinos, several hotels, world-class restaurants and entertainment venues, shopping and an exposition center.
